fire beneath icy ground
clenched jaws and numbing pain
a desperate escape from withering decay

breeding – stinging contradiction
breaking – scraping and clawing
breathing – nauseating secretion
compulsive desperation
feeds manic destruction
grasping and ripping
shredded layers tear and fade
pushing free of suffocating intrusions
only to be torn away by echoing screams of madness and delusion
